The WTA returns to Miami with a star-studded field that is certain to entertain as the tennis season kicks into full gear.
Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, who has recently made headlines off the court and in the courtroom, heads to Florida on the back of a straight-sets loss in the opening round at Indian Wells. The former world No. 5 has struggled mightily so far this season, failing to reach the third round in three of her four WTA appearances. Bouchard will have to earn her way into the main draw in Miami as the current world No. 114 must advance through the qualifying stages of the tournament.

If she can manage that, Bouchard would join each of the top ten players in the most recent WTA rankings. World No. 1 Simona Halep is the tournament's top seed and will face stiff competition from 2018 Australian Open winner Caroline Wozniacki and two-time Grand Slam champion Garbiñe Muguruza, among a laundry list of others.
Serena Williams, an eight-time winner in Miami, continues her comeback after giving birth to her first child, while her sister Venus looks to improve on a strong performance at Indian Wells that included a win over her younger sibling.
