Yu Wang's Biography
Yu Wang received his Bachelor's degree from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Beijing, China. He used to work on graphene nanoribbon field-effect transistors.
Yu joined Professor Klimeck's research group in August 2012 as a direct Ph.D student. He obtained his Master’s degree in August 2015.
Yu’s research focuses on semiconductor device modeling and semiconductor physics.
During his tenure in the Klimeck group he worked on the following aspects:
- Electrostatics of MOS and advanced in-plane devices using Sentaurus TCAD tools
- Modeling transistors with realistic leads (with random alloy, irregular geometry)
- Physics of few impurities in silicon
- Electron-electron interaction with atomistic full configuration interaction (method implemented using C++ with MPI)
