Lars Bjaalie will receive his Bachelor Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2011. Lars' tenure in the Klimeck research group was from May 2010 to August 2010 as a summer student in the SURF (Student Undegraduate Research Fellowship) program.

Lars' task was to make the NanoHub.org tool "Quantum Dot Lab" run NEMO 5 instead of NEMO 3-D, to correct errors in the 1s tight-binding model used in the tool. When this work was done, NEMO 5 was currently under development, and the physics required to run the tool had to be implemented.
