Harshad Sahasrabudhe's Biography
Education
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India
B.E in Electrical and Electronics with M.Sc. in Physics (2005-2010). Thesis title: Computation Of Graphene Nanoribbon Bandstructure Using Tight Binding Model.
Research Interest
My research interests are modeling nanoscale devices such as quantum dots, quantum hall interferometer and nanowires using tight binding and effective mass methods. I'm also interested in modeling time dependent transport in nanowires. I work on developing the NEMO5 simulation tool.
Current projects
- Electrostatic simulations of nanoscale devices such as quantum dots. Real potentials inside nanodevices obtained from these simulations can be used to engineer devices.
- Modeling time-dependent ballistic transport in nanowires using Quantum Transmitting Boundary Method.
- Study decoherence of spin qubits.
- Using accelerators such as GPUs and Xeon Phis to speed up electronic transport simulations.
