Frederico Severgnini's Biography

Frederico Marcolino Quintao Severgnini received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from PUC Minas, Brazil. He is currently a graduate student in Prof. Klimeck’s group.

Professional Employment

He has worked in the following areas:

  • Introduction to Scientific Research in Digital Signal Processing, applied to Automatic Speech Recognition - Researched the implementation of speech recognition in a DSP microcontroller.
  • Volunteer to Introduction to Scientific Research, in Metamaterial Application in Antennas – Researched patch antenna simulations, measurements and its performance improvements when designed with metamaterials. Co-authored the article “S-Parameters Analysis of Waveguide Bend with MTM (metamaterials)” published at International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference on March 2015.
  • Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in Digital Signal Processing -provided assistance to students enrolled in this class.

He also co-authored the article “Object Tracking by Color and Active Contour Models Segmentation”, published on IEEE Latin America Transactions Vol. 14 Issue 3, as part of his undergraduate senior project.

Research Interest

His interests now lie on photovoltaics and entropy applied to NEGF.
