Early Registration: January 9th – March 10th, 2023. Cost = $350 per kart.
Regular Registration: March 11th – April 2nd, 2023. Cost = $450 per kart.
Spectators are welcome and have free admission.

- This declaration allows evGP staff to do a high level review of each team’s system. We encourage teams to turn this in early so staff can respond with concerns or questions.
Practice
April 3rd – Collegiate Practice on Purdue Track (4pm to 8pm)
April 13th – Collegiate Practice on Purdue Track (4pm to 8pm)
April 14th – Collegiate Practice on the Purdue Track (1pm to 3pm)
Pre-Event Requirements (for all registered karts)

Drivers have completed the Driver Safety Presentation and passed Driver Test below.

Each registered kart has designated one track worker and provided their names and mobile phone numbers (online form to be posted soon)

Purdue Grand Prix Track

Friday April 14th
- On-site Team Registration:
- Time: TBA
- Each team must provide a completed Participant Agreement Form
- Each participant must provide a completed Liability Release
- Technical Inspection:
- Time: TBA
- Before entering Technical Inspection, each kart must:
- have a completed Technical Inspection Form (link coming soon), signed by the Team Captain
- have a MyLaps TR2 transponder (with active subscription) attached to the front bumper of the vehicle (the transponder is not to be moved followed Technical Inspection and must stay positioned through qualifying and the race). The transponder will be provided during on-site registration and will documented by the evGrandPrix timing & scoring team.
- Design Reviews:
- In-person review of submitted Design Report with Design judge(s). Design Judges will meet with each team to finalize their Design Score.
- Practice on the Purdue Go-Kart Track:
- 1pm – 3pm
- Use this time to “shake down” your kart and fix anything that breaks or comes lose
- Recommended to bring various front and rear sprockets so teams can test and determine their ideal gear ratio for this particular track.
- Use the Purdue Physics Boxes to measure and tune your kart exactly to the 14kW power limit.
Saturday April 15th
NOTE: The Collegiate Spring Race will be held on the same day as the Purdue Grand Prix Qualifications (traditional gas karts). It will be a fun and busy day at the track!
8:00am: GATES OPEN
8:00am – 12:00pm: Registration & Technical Inspection Open
8:30am – 9:30am: EV karts practice
9:30am-10:00am: Gridding for Qualifying Sprint Races
10:00am – 10:45am: EV karts Qualifying Sprint Races (followed by post-qualifying inspection)
10:45am – 11:00am: Transition the track from EV to Gas (EV karts return to paddock area)
11:00am – 12:00pm: Gasoline karts practice
12:00pm – 12:30pm: LUNCH BREAK – Track Closed
12:30pm – 2:30pm: Gasoline karts Qualifying
12:30pm – 2:30pm: Completion of Design Reviews (for any teams that did not present Friday)
2:45pm – 3:00pm: Gasoline karts exit track area
3:00pm – 3:15pm: EV karts race gridding
3:15pm – 3:30pm: Race grid pictures

4:15pm: Post-race Inspection
~5:00pm: Awards Ceremony
