The objective of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is to advance the arts, sciences, and technologies of flight.
The Institute encourages original research, furthers dissemination of knowledge, fosters the professional development of those engaged in scientific and engineering activities, improves public understanding of the profession and its contributions, fosters education in engineering and science as well as other professional groups, and stimulates outstanding professional accomplishments.
The Purdue University Student Branch of the AIAA upholds these ideals and works to support the efforts of the professional Institute.
The Purdue Student Branch is dedicated to further fostering interest in the areas of aeronautics and astronautics, and to providing an avenue of communication between its members and the professional Aerospace industry.
The AIAA Purdue Student Branch's many activities include sponsoring speakers from both industry and academia to discuss current topics of interest to our members, organizing field trips which increase exposure to the broad disciplines of aeronautics and astronautics, and publishing an annual Resume CD and distributing it to industry.
