The objectives of our Symposium are to\u00a0promote networking and career opportunities for graduate students, as well as to give an opportunity for leadership and collaboration among graduate students regarding event planning and execution.\u00a0 Since its inception in 2014, the attendance and participation in our Symposium has increased each year.\u00a0 Graduate students from many departments on campus as well as staff, faculty, post docs, visiting scholars, and industrial representatives have participated.\u00a0 Additionally, our Symposium is typically paired with Graduate Student Recruitment Weekend.<\/p>\n
Our dedicated and passionate Symposium Planning committee – comprised of ABE graduate students with various research backgrounds -have worked very hard to ensure that this is an informative and enjoyable event.<\/p>\n
We hope that this event serves as a catalyst to foster information exchange and collaboration , as well as providing opportunities for industry professionals to stay updated on current research here at Purdue and to recruit talented graduate students who can contribute to the growth and reputation of their companies and organizations.<\/p>\n
