Holloway receives ASEE William Elgin Wickenden Award

Beth Holloway, Director of the Women in Engineering Program and Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education for the College of Engineering, has been selected to receive the William Elgin Wickenden Award of the American Society for Engineering Education. The award will be presented to Holloway and her co-authors of the article, "Research-Informed Policy Change: A Retrospective on Engineering Admissions," at the ASEE annual conference and exposition in June 2015. It is given annually to recognize an article that represents the highest standards of scholarly research in engineering education among the articles published in the Journal of Engineering Education in each volume year. Holloway's article appeared in the journal's April 2014 issue. Her co-authors are Kenneth Reid, associate professor of engineering at Virginia Technical Institute; P.K. Imbrie and Teri Reed at Texas A&M University.
  Women in Engineering Program Receives 2015 Google Rise Award

The Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) at Purdue University was the recipient of a 2015 Google Rise Award. The partnership award, granted to Science Buddies, WIEP, and girlSPARC.™ to work together was in the amount of $85,000.
WIEP receives ABET diversity award

The Women in Engineering Program (WIEP), directed by Beth Holloway, has been recognized with ABET's 2014 Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity. ABET is the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
