I2R is a FREE after school engineering program offered through the Women in Engineering Program at Purdue University for 6th-8th grade students.  I2R provides a unique opportunity to explore  themed areas of engineering through a combination of faculty guest speakers, lab tours and hands-on engineering activities.  Each theme will meet in evenings once a week for five weeks.  Acceptance into the program is based on commitment and enthusiam for engineering.

Fall 2015 Session: Energized Engineering for the Environment


Energy has become essential in making our lives more comfortable and functional.  In this fun, interactive, hands-on engineering program, you will explore the many ways engineers and scientists are using resources to meet our ever-increasing energy demand and how technological advances can increase how efficiently we use the renewable energy resources available to us.  

Five Week Program:  Tuesdays; October 20th-November 17th; 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Who is eligible?

All 6th-8th grade students that are interested in exploring engineering are encouraged to apply.
