8th International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies
The International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies (ICMAT) is a major biennial research conference in the field of materials science. ICMAT typically attracts over 2,000 delegates from around the world each year. ICMAT is organized by the Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S). Founded in 1999 by Prof. Shih Choon Fong, MRS-S was established with the intent to create a centralized materials science community in Singapore. The purpose of the MRS-S is to promote materials science research occuring in Singapore and Asia around the world. The biennal organization of ICMAT is the realization of the founding principles of the MRS-S.
The 8th meeting of the ICMAT was held on June 28, 2015 - July 3, 2015 at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre of Suntec City, Singapore. Prof. Pol presented two talks, "Birth of Scalable Hybrid Electrode Materials for the Efficient Lithium Ion Batteries" and "Trashed Packing-Peanuts Remediation Into Energy Storing Carbon Anodes."
