Next Generation Scholars Research Fair 2014

The Next Generation Scholars (NGS) Research Fair is an annual research symposium held to excite and expose younger generations to the wonders of science and engineering. The research fair provides graduate students with an opportunity to share their research, via poster presentations, demonstrations, and brief oral discussions with over 140 students from Southwestern Middle School. Engaging with junior high school students allows Purdue graduate students to sharpen their communication skills with new audiences while providing an educational service to local students.

The 2014 NGS Research Fair was attended by over 140 students from Southwestern Middle School, West Lafayette, Indiana. The research poster presentation was held at the Discovery Learning Research Center (DLRC) of Discovery Park, Purdue University, U.S.A. Arthur and Jialiang presented the poster, "Carbon Micro-Hotels with Sulfur Nano-Guests for Next Generation Batteries." Thank you to the Purdue Graduate Student Government (PGSG) for organizing this fun and educational event.
