Society of Engineering Science Technical Meeting 2014

The Society of Engineering Science (SES) promotes the progression of research and innovation among the ever-growing overlap between the disciplines of engineering and science. Founded in 1963, the SES promotes free exchange of ideas and information on all aspects of "engineering science" and the accessible forum for discussion, education, and recognition of the engineering and science communities. The inital Founder's Meeting of the SES was held at Purdue University in 1963, highlighting the importance of Purdue University to the beginnings of the SES. Since then, the Annual Technical Meeting fosters many impactful discussion and collaboration across leaders in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, bioengineering, and related fields.

The 2014 SES 51st Annual Technical Meeting was hosted by Purdue University, Indiana, U.S.A. The 2014 Annual Technical Meeting of SES on the campus of Purdue University returned the organization to its beginnings, shedding light upon the historical narrative and the multi-disciplinary strength that defines Purdue's academic merit. This SES Technical Meeting aims to convene a diverse and interdisciplinary group of leading researchers in all engineering, mathematics and science disciplines. Prof. Pol delivered a talk, "Advanced High-Capacity Electrode Architectures for Lithium-Ion Batteries," as part of the 2014 SES Annual Technical Meeting.
