2006 Sculpture Competition

The Visual Arts Committee at Purdue University announces its 2006 Art On Campus Competition. This open competition will place one or more pieces of three-dimensional art on the Purdue University West Lafayette campus at Pickett Park. This park is home to a wide variety of sculptures.
The Visual Arts Committee is willing to purchase or lease sculptures. There will be one or more awards of up to $2,000 for a two-year lease. Purchase prices will be negotiated.
The competition will kick off on June 1st when the Visual Arts Committee's website begins taking submissions. Submissions will be accepted until midnight on August 15th. Artists are encouraged to submit up to five images of their work, along with a résumé and biographical information.
The Visual Arts Committee will meet in September to review submissions for the first round of consideration. Finalists will then be selected and asked to submit site-specific proposals. Following a voting period, notification of Award will be made late 2006. Installation of the winning piece(s) should be complete by May 2007.

- Up to five images of current work in digital format. Please specify file formats and other technical information if CDs are submitted.
- Information specifying the medium and dimensions of the works depicted by the images.
