Sculpture on Campus Competition
News Date: 2004/01/26 00:00:00 US/East-Indiana
The Visual Arts Committee at Purdue University announces its 2004 Sculpture On Campus Competition. This open competition will place one or more sculptures on the Purdue University West Lafayette campus. There are no restrictions on media; however, the works must be suitable for an outdoor setting and interaction with campus visitors. All selected works will be placed on exhibition for two years. After two years the committee may offer to purchase the work(s) or return them to the artist. The Committee will sponsor one or more two-year lease agreements of $2,000 for a single work or suite of works.
To enter the competition, send the following to the Visual Arts Committee by April 1, 2004:
- A current resume
- Up to ten images of current work, on CD or slides; if slides are submitted, label each with the artist's name. Please specify file formats and other technical information if CDs are submitted
- An information sheet specifying the medium and dimensions of the works depicted by the images
- A self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of your materials (materials cannot be returned otherwise)
