Rudy Pozzatti

Time Of Day
University Hall, Room 303
1993

Description of Work:

Time of Day is a three-dimensional work made of carved and painted wood, accented by inlaid metals of aluminum, brass, zinc and copper.

The open space behind each landscape is a thin sheet of aluminum painted to correspond with the time element of each landscape.

The entire work is contained within a 3 1/2" deep poplar frame, the inside plane of which is painted to conform to the various landscapes.

From early morning to dusk, this work defines the passage of time, a precious commodity often s quandered or misused.
