Ground Water Flow Model
for Public Education

The ground water flow model is available on loan for public education on drinking water protection at the Knox County Extension office.

Movement of water and contaminants are easily demonstrated to groups of all ages.

The following are examples of some of the actions that can be demonstrated:
* functioning of tile drainage systems
* water table fluctuations
* leaking landfills and underground storage tanks
* movement of water in artesian wells
* non-point source leaching and well contamination
The model comes with training materials including care and use video, manuals, and other tips for successful demonstrations.
