RIISE

ABOUT US

Our mission at RIISE is to showcase Paralympic excellence around the world and pursue projects at the interface of inclusivity, sports, and engineering at Purdue University.  We imagine a world where all athletes at all levels have the means and support to play and perform at their full potential. To pursue our vision, we strive to raise awareness for Paralympic sports while improving sports accessibility and performance. At RIISE, we work to accomplish this mission through three committees: Development, Operations, Communications. Check them out on the Committees page!

Committees

Communications

Communications advances the image of RIISE by increasing the impact of the organization to reach as many people as possible. Regular RIISE content can be found through our Linked In (@RIISE Purdue), Instagram (@riisepurdue), and more. Be sure to subscribe on all platforms for the most up-to-date information regarding paralympic sports and RIISE whereabouts.

Operations

Operations monitors the planning and daily operations of all RIISE-organized events, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. This includes clinics and external events. They also propose new exciting opportunities to advance the mission of RIISE both on Purdue’s campus and in the local communities.

Development

Development helps brainstorm, plan, and structure ideas to achieve the current ambitions of the organization. By assessing needs in the Paralympic community, the development committee is able to design engineering projects to overcome current challenges and create a growing interface between inclusivity, engineering, and sport.
