What do you love about Purdue Space Day?
I love seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they’re having fun with the activities we setup for them. It’s nice seeing them work together to figure out a problem and learning the different values of teamwork. The children have high hopes and huge dreams just as we did when we were young. I want to keep their hopes high and their dreams big so they can achieve whatever they put their mind to.
Favorite Class/Professor?
So far, my favorite class here at Purdue is History of the Space Age (HIST 387) with Dr. Smith. I learned so much about the journey of how space exploration began all the way to the present era. The astronauts, the engineers, the innovations, I found it all intriguing. If there's any class I would willingly retake, it would be History of the Space Age - with Dr. Smith of course.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be working in the aerospace industry contributing to the efforts to establish a base on the moon or whatever the goal may be in 10 years. While space exploration is fascinating, I also want to be making efforts to heal the planet and extend the life of the earth. I'd like my kids to see the same beauty on Earth we see today, if not in a better state.
What do you think your favorite memory of Purdue will be?
My favorite memory so far has been my team leader experience for BGR, my fellow team leaders and I had an amazing experience. They made the week of BGR one of the most fun weeks of my life and I appreciate them all. Though I can't forget how much it meant to me becoming a supervisor at the dining court either. I became friends with my fellow supervisors and they are the most fun and phenomenal people to work with. I embrace going to every shift knowing I get to work with them.
Hidden Talent?
I can do the moonwalk 🌕 and with years of practice, I'm now an expert at choking on water.
