|School:||Mechanical Engineering - GEARE student
The Office of Professional Practice hosts the Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education (GEARE) program, which includes a comprehensive study and intern abroad experience for engineering students.
Mechanical Engineering student Tyler Brammeier is spending this semester in Germany, where he will work for John Deere. (Find out more about GEARE)
I was lucky to be put by 2 German interns. I am looking forward to “learning the ropes” from them. Also, I am very close to all the test cells. We tried to log into my computer so I could complete online training, but as per usual with computers, no luck. Then the younger engineer showed me around all the different tests and cells. It was pretty awesome! I am excited to get to work. It will also be good German experience as most of the technicians don’t speak English.
Brammeier is also tracking his adventures through his blog. Here is a sample of the experiences he has shared through the blog: http://tylerbrammeier.wordpress.com/
