Broaden Your Education as a Non-Degree Seeking Student
Non-Degree seeking students may wish to take a course for credit without applying it toward a master’s degree. You may also audit a course, and no grade or academic credit is awarded. However, once registered for audit status, you cannot change to credit status once the semester begins. If you are looking for short courses or seminars for CEU credit, visit the Professional Development section of the website.
The non-degree option is a good choice if you are in one of these situations:
- You already have an advanced degree but want to continue to learn about a new area or advance in your
own area of expertise.
- You are pursuing a degree at another university that doesn’t offer one of the current classes available at Purdue.
- You are planning to apply for a master’s degree in the future. In this case, a limited number of postbaccalaureate courses may be included later in a master’s plan.
