Learning Objective:
Provide the students with the fundamentals of probability, statistical methods, and data analysis.

Description:
Descriptive statistics, elementary probability, sampling distributions, inference testing hypotheses, and estimations, normal, binomial, Poisson, hypergeometric distributions, one-way analysis of variance, regression.

Topics Covered:
What is Statistics, Population vs Sample, Collection of data, random samples; Descriptive Statistics; Probability; Discrete random variables; Continuous random variables; Two random variables; Sampling; Point estimation; Confidence intervals; Hypothesis testing on a single sample; Inferences on two samples; The Analysis of Variance; Multiple regression.

Prerequisites:
Calculus. Integration and differentiation of functions of one variable and two variables.
