Ph.D. Student
Aditya Arjun Anibha is a PhD student in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University originally from Delhi, India. He received his BSAAE in Dec 2024 and MSAAE in May 2025 from Purdue University. His current research focuses on autonomous asteroid navigation, SLAM, and proximity operations, with the goal to develop algorithms that enable spacecraft to safely and efficiently explore, map, and conduct science at asteroids with minimal prior information. He is also working on a novel origami-inspired diffractive solar sail design, exploring its advantages in force controllability, passive attitude stability, and beam-riding efficiency. Previously, he interned at Axiom Research Labs and InspeCity Space Labs as a GNC and astrodynamics engineer, and served as President of Purdue Space Program. Outside of school, his hobbies include flying, astronomy, cooking, philosophy, reading, Ping Pong, tennis, golf, and cricket.
