Marco Apolinario received his B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from the National University of Engineering, Peru in 2017. He was a summer research intern in the Jicamarca Radio Observatory (JRO) in 2017. Then, he worked for two years as a research assistant in the Signal and Image Processing Lab at the National Institute of Research and Training in Telecommunications (INICTEL-UNI), Peru. There, he developed some research projects on deep learning for natural resource monitoring and remote sensing applications. In 2020, he has been awarded the graduate scholarship "Beca Presidente de la Republica" of the Peruvian Government (PRONABEC) to fund his graduate studies at Purdue University. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. degree at Purdue University under the guidance of Prof. Kaushik Roy. His research interests include computer vision algorithms, neuromorphic computing, and event-driven deep learning.
