Two NE Alumni featured as seminar speakers

The School of Nuclear Engineering welcomed two of its alumni as seminar speakers in 2016.

David W. Barbara, M.D. (pictured left) graduated with highest distinction from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering and minor in Spanish. He earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Mayo Medical School. He presented his talk, From Nuclear Engineering to Anesthesiology, on September 28, 2016. Dr. Barbara is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, a cardiac anesthesiologist, and an intensivist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Rodney L. Miller (pictured right) is Senior Lead Executive and the Chief Scientist with the Air Force Global Strike Command at the Barksdale, Air Force Base, Louisiana. Dr. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University. He earned his M.S. and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He presented his talk, Science and Technology Challenges of the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise, on December 2, 2016.
