2015 Society for Applied Spectroscopy Undergraduate Student Award winners

Event Date: August 6, 2015
Two Nuclear Engineering students, Jason Becker and Patrick Skrodzki, were chosen as 2015 Society for Applied Spectroscopy Undergraduate Student Award winners
For Jason the award recognizes his research interests including the use of spectroscopy, specifically laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for the detection of nuclear materials and his work on methods to improve the LIBS technique such as double-pulse LIBS and the use of a femtosecond laser as opposed to the standard nanosecond laser.

Patrick recognized for his research in the areas of laser-material interaction and other spectroscopy methods, nuclear forensics, and low-temperature plasma physics and applications.

Congratulations on these Outstanding Achievements!
