NE Student Experience

Senior in Nuclear Engineering, Kiah Griffith, is the first nuclear engineering student to participate in the GEARE Program. The GEARE Program prepares students for global job opportunities. Kiah studied a semester at the Grenoble Institute of Technology in their undergraduate Nuclear and Energy Engineering program. The connections she made with fellow students enabled her to take a personalized tour of the CEA Facility and the ITER construction site. ITER stands for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor and is a multinational effort to build the world’s largest tokamak nuclear fusion reactor. Experiments projected to begin in 2020. Kiah also had an internship in France.
