Mathematical fundamentals of computing with neural networks. Survey of engineering applications. Computational metaphors from biological neurons. Artificial neural networks modeling of complex, nonlinear and ill-posed problems. Emphasizes engineering utilization of neural computing to diagnostics, control, safety, and decision-making problems.
