Professor Marconnet and Students Participate in CTRC Review Meeting (& Poster Session Win)!
Professor Marconnet and several students interacted with members of the Cooling Technology Research Consortium (CTRC) over the past few days. Highlights of the event included a student poster session, where Yash Ganatra's poster on our Passive Phase Change Materials for Thermal Management won for first place.
Research on the this passive phase change for thermal managment began in Jan 2015 and is supported by the CTRC. Yash Ganatra, supported by an undergraduate assistant Michael Woodworth, have developed metrology techniques for evaluating thermal performance during phase change over the past few months. This project is in collaboration with Professor John Howarter and his student Alex Bruce, who are working to develop new phase change materials.
