Research Interest:

Powder processing including dry rheology, ordered mixing, granulation, drying, milling, and compaction related to a range of products and applications.

Current projects include:
  • Characterization of powders used in additive manufacturing – distributed (size, shape) and ensemble flow;
  • Pharmaceutical formulations having high levels of micronized powder actives;
  • Mechanical granulation, from lab to manufacturing (scale up);
  • Surface treatment using peening – media characterization, stress-field modeling, and process flowsheets.
