Housing

Currently there are two main housing options:

  • Being a University town, there are lots of summer sublets available in West Lafayette close to the Purdue campus. To get information about summer subletting, you can visit the Purdue University campus newspaper on the web (www.purdueexponent.org) and look at the classified ads. Ads for summer sublets begin to appear early in the spring. Also, there is a local service on the web to help you locate a summer sublet (www.boilerapartments.com).

  • On-campus housing is available at the Hawkins Graduate House. A number of other summer programs will be housed at Hawkins, so living there is a good way to meet other people. A shared room costs $300/month, and places for meals are nearby. More information about on-campus housing may be found at the Purdue website (www.purdue.edu) under the "Campus Life" section. The down side of Hawkins is that the cooking facilities are very limited.
