Re: Metallurgical Engineering Internship
The primary focus of this position is working with Metallurgists and production to complete projects focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity and Profitability. Projects may be in the Melt Shop, Caster, Roll Mill and/or other areas of the mill. Successful applicants will be given multiple projects to work on and will be encouraged to offer suggestions/recommendations to operations based on their findings. This position may require working weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Attitude – Has a positive, “can do” attitude and is willing to take on challenging projects
Communication Skills – Strong ability to express ideas and opinions both verbally and written in order to achieve positive outcomes.
Teamwork – A proven history of working well with others with the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
