Oxford Lasers Micro-Machining Work Station

Micro-Dimples can be machined in-house using the Oxford Lasers micro-machining work station.  The system is based around a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser with 4 axis CNC.

Laser Specifications:

* Type:        Class 4 Lamp Pumped Nd:YAG laser

* Wavelength:    1064 nm

* Average Power:    > 7W at 10 kHz, TEM00

* Pulse Frequency:    Adjustable 1,225 – 20,833 Hz

* Pulse Duration:    80 – 200 ns

CNC Specifications

* Travel:        300 mm (X,Y,Z); 360 degrees continuous (U)

* Resolution:    1 um (X,Y,Z); 6 arc sec (U)

* Accuracy:        +/- 10 um (X,Y,Z); 3 arc sec (U)
