Falex Machine

The Falex Multi-Specimen Test Machine is a versatile and flexible friction and wear test device. It has the capability, with various adapters, to perform over 20 different geometric specimen configurations. It can be used to evaluate a wide variety of materials, coatings and lubricants for the evaluation of wear rates and PV limits and determination of static and dynamic coefficients of friction.

The test machine is equipped with a digital instrumentation system and control system to monitor and control test parameters.

Through the flexibility of different contact geometries, specimen materials, speeds, loads, temperatures, and motions, this test machine allows one test apparatus to meet many commercial and military specifications and to simulate a broad range of field applications. Results of testing have shown excellent correlations with field service as demonstrated in the number of technical papers published.
