Target Cities Luncheon

Special luncheon programs are presented in select cities throughout the Midwest for academically talented high school juniors, seniors, and their teachers and counselors. The programs and opportunities available in the Purdue University Schools of Engineering and in the field of engineering in general are discussed, with emphasis placed on high school preparation and admission to college.

Purdue engineering students assist with the program by leading group discussions which focus on making the transition from high school to college and meeting the demands of an engineering curriculum. Practicing engineer role models share their experiences as professionals to encourage students to complete their degrees once they have begun their college careers. To date, Target Cities Luncheons have been hosted in Chicago, Peoria, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, St. Louis, Des Moines and Puerto Rico.
