Runners Megan Slamkowski and Ian Hunter as well as soccer player Ashley Witucki earned special recognition for maintaining flawless 4.0 cumulative GPAs.

Redshirt seniors Grant Hermanns and Brennan Thieneman from football are set to close out their careers as four-time Academic All-Big Ten performers in the classroom. Altogether, 50 of the 96 Boilermakers recognized this month are now multi-year Academic All-Big Ten honorees. Soccer had the highest percentage with 14 of its 22 honorees making the list again.
Julia Ware was among those to earn the award again for soccer. In October, the junior was chosen as one of three student-athletes to serve on the NCAA Division I competition oversight committee.
Volleyball's Grace Cleveland and Caitlyn Newton as well as football's Rondale Moore have distinguished themselves as All-Americans in their sport and multi-year Academic All-Big Ten honorees in the classroom. Meanwhile, 2019 Academic All-American Hannah Melchiorre is now also a three-year Academic All-Big Ten performer for soccer. Moore and Newton are also among the nine student-athletes on the list set to graduate this month.
The Big Ten Conference recognized a record total of 1,601 student-athletes as Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the fall sports season. That total includes 582 from football, 399 from soccer, 361 from cross country, 135 from volleyball and 124 from field hockey.
