Ray W. Herrick Laboratories
$2M Facilities Fund Challenge Match

The School of Mechanical Engineering is committed to recruiting the best and brightest students from around the world to learn from world-class faculty in state of the art facilities.  One of the most important tools for achieving these successes is providing cutting edge facilities.  To inspire new contributions to this project, Mechanical Engineering is excited to announce a $2,000,000 challenge match fund devoted to increasing resources for ME capital projects.  The challenge match is currently in progress and will remain available until funds are depleted with gifts to our Herrick Labs Renovation/ME Facilities Fund.

How It Works …

• Outright cash gifts, multi-year pledges, and gifts of securities will be matched 1:1 to provide facilities support for the ME School, up to $2M total.

• Pledges can be payable over 5 years and funds will be reserved from the matching pool until future payments are received.

• Employer matching gift programs are also eligible for the challenge match.

Maximize Your Impact

The School of Mechanical Engineering has a proven track record for educating top mechanical engineering students and providing discovery through delivery with our research programs.  The power of this match will help us complete the next wave of scientific and engineering innovations.  All outright contributions, multi-year pledges and gifts of securities will help qualify and help us raise much needed restricted funds for ME facilities.  If you work for a company that matches gift funds, you can leverage that as well toward the matching fund.  For example:  you pledge $25,000 (or $5,000/year over 5 years) and your company matches this gift for $25,000.  Purdue ME reserves a total of $50,000 from the Facilities Challenge Fund giving you a gift impact to the School for $100,000 that can be used to name spaces in the Ray W. Herrick Laboratories.
