Open To: Those interested in learning more about how they can earn and receive the HVS Certificate.
Priority: Yes
You must complete and submit an internal application form for consideration of admission; the internal application will be available at the call out meeting.

Once admitted to the program, there are two requirements for receiving the certificate:

1) Attend either a spring or fall Hoosier Heavy Hybrid Center of Excellence (H3 CoE) poster show or workshop. These events will also be attended by the H3 CoE’s industry partners, so it is a great way to learn about job opportunities;

2) Take one course from each of the following three areas and receive a grade of B or better (B- does not count (see below). Note: any course(s) already taken may still be counted toward the certificate.

Architecture (complete one)
ABE 69100/ME 69700 Hydraulic Power Trains & Hybrid Systems
ECE 59500 Hybrid Elect Vehicles

Energy Storage or Controls (complete one)
CHE 50000 Intro to Energy Storage Systems
MSE 59700 Design & Simulation of Rechargeable Batteries
ME 57500 Theory & Design of Control Systems

Prime Mover (i.e. motor/engine) (complete one)
ECE 61000 Energy Conversion
ABE 59100/ME 59700 Design & Modeling of Fluid Power Systems
ME 54000 Internal Combustion Engines

Hope to see you there!
