Minutes of Meeting #988 April
9, 2004
Present: Professors
Collicott, Cipra, Fricker, Jamieson, Lawley, Montgomery,
Okos, Revankar, Rundell, Spitzer
and Swain
1. The meeting
was called to order by Chair Montgomery.
Swain made a motion to change the order of the EFD’s
to be considered on the agenda, Spitzer seconded, and the agenda amendment was
passed by a 6-4 hand vote.
2. Meeting
minutes #987 were approved as distributed.
3. Okos made a motion
to accept the memo to Timothy Skvarenina, Chair of
the Educational Policy Committee, Collicot seconded,
and the memo was approved with editorial changes.
4. Swain moved to bring the motion, from meeting
#987, for consideration of EFD 6-03 from ECE for approval for distribution to
the faculty, from the table, and the original motion to approve was passed
unanimously.

EFD 6-03 was approved for distribution to
the faculty.
5. Swain moved that EFD 2-02 be approved for
distribution to the faculty; Revankar seconded the
motion.

EFD 2-02 was approved for distribution to
the faculty.
6. Swain moved that EFD 3-02 from ECE be
approved for distribution to the faculty; Revankar
seconded the motion. After some
discussion, Cipra made a motion to table EFD 3-02 for
further discussion, Okos seconded the motion and the
document was tabled.
7. Swain moved that EFD 5-02 from ECE be
approved for distribution to the faculty; Okos
seconded the motion. After some
discussion, Jamieson made a motion to table EFD 5-02 for further discussion, Cipra seconded the motion and the document was tabled.
8. Colicott moved that
EFD 33-03 from AAE be approved for distribution to the faculty; Revankar seconded the motion.

EFD 33-03 was approved for distribution to
the faculty with editorial changes.
9. Okos moved that EFD
40-03 from FrE be approved for distribution to the
faculty; Jamieson seconded the motion. After
some discussion, Spitzer made a motion to table EFD 40-03 for further
discussion, and the provision of additional documentation, Fricker
seconded the motion and the document was tabled.
10. The meeting was adjourned at 12:39 p.m.
