Minutes of Meeting #949 September 5, 2001

Present: Professors Gaunt, Groll, Huggins, Okos, Revankar, Schmeiser, Spitzer, Sutton, and Zoltowski.

Absent: Professors Collicott and Venkatasubramanian.

1. The meeting was called to order by Chair Sutton. The agenda was approved as distributed.

2. Meeting minutes #948 were amended and approved as corrected. Revised minutes will be distributed at the next meeting.

3. Announcements: Initial meetings of the Academic Personnel Grievance and Grade Appeal Committees will be convened by Chair Sutton on September 6, 2001. EFD 55-98 was distributed to the Heads last spring semester. General education restrictions were discussed. The Engineering Education Committee may generate a negative list for distribution to the advising offices.

4. Zoltowski moved that EFDs 35-99, 7-00, 8-00, 9-00, 23-00, 79-00, 81-00, 82-00, and 83-00 be approved for the faculty; Groll seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. EFDs 35-99, 7-00, 8-00, 9-00, 23-00, 79-00, 81-00, 82-00, and 83-00 were approved for the faculty.

5. Discussion of EFDs 88-00, 89-00, 101-00, and 108-00 was deferred until the AAE representative could be present.

6. Revankar moved that EFD 109-00 be approved for distribution to the faculty; Okos seconded the motion. After discussion EFD 109-00 was withdrawn for review of prerequisite.

§ EFD 109-00 was withdrawn.

7. The meeting was adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
