Educator Workshops

INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering offers engineering and integrated STEM education workshops and professional development to formal (classroom and homeschool) and informal educators. In addition to the workshops we lead, we also present and exhibit at a wide range of workshops and conferences hosted all over the world. See below to find an upcoming event near you.

INSPIRE Led Educator Workshops

INSPIRE Summer Academy

Our 3-day academy is for traditional and homeschool educators who work with kindergarten, first and second grade students. Educators will learn how to integrate science, engineering, mathematics, computational thinking and literacy in educational experiences to better prepare children for real-world problem solving situations. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Educators who complete the academy will receive a stipend. There are a limited number of seats. Priority consideration will be given to teams of educators and to partner schools (see application for details).

INSPIRE seeks educators who are highly interested in participating in our NSF funded research project. Participation requires educators to teach one PictureSTEM unit in their classroom and allow researchers to collect data (this includes observation and video data). Educators who participate in our research will receive all materials needed to teach the unit. For additional information, please email M. Terri Sanger at mtsanger@purdue.edu.
