Wave Breaker is a logic puzzle for players eight and up. Included in the game is a plastic Game Grid, nine testing boats, an instruction booklet, and 40 Challenge Cards with four difficulty levels. The goal of the game is to deliver the Red Boat to the Home Port by rearranging the plastic wave pieces. Each challenge card shows an initial set-up of for the wave pieces. Children must analyze the challenge cards to figure out how to rearrange the waves to find the correct solution. As players arrange and rearrange the wave pieces in order to open up the way to the Home Port they practice trial and error. Children also use spatial reasoning skills as they try to find and create patterns. With this game children can practice their critical and logical thinking by solving a problem set up in a fun, easy-to-understand context.
