Kanoodle Genius is a fun-filled puzzle game with challenges to keep children entertained for hours as they work to come up with solutions. Each game includes 7 puzzle pieces, a carrying case, and an 84-page illustrated puzzle book with 202 puzzles. To play, the user sets up the starting pieces as shown in the chosen challenge and must then attempt  to place the remaining pieces to solve the challenge. There are three levels of 2D puzzles and five levels of 3D puzzles. As the player progresses through the puzzle book, the puzzles become increasingly more difficult. This game promotes engineering thinking and design by encouraging the user to think about the given problem and the various ways that the pieces could fit together to solve the puzzle. It places  a heavy emphasis on spatial reasoning, critical thinking, design, and recognizing patterns.

Engineering thinking and design practices the gift encouraged children to do or learn about:

Define a problem, test the solution, generate ideas, plan the solution, try the solution, redesign the solution, recognize patterns

Engineering text or context explicitly provided: A problem, constraints

Additional engineering thinking and design skills addressed: Spatial reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, design, problem solving
