The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science was founded in the late 19th century and continues today as one of Southwestern Indiana’s most established and significant cultural centers. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, our museum serves the broad regional area, offering a wide variety of quality exhibitions and educational programs in the areas of art, history and science.

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science was founded in the late 19th century and continues today as one of Southwestern Indiana’s most established and significant cultural centers. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, our museum serves the broad regional area, offering a wide variety of quality exhibitions and educational programs in the areas of art, history and science.

Every year the Evansville Museum hosts over a dozen new exhibitions in addition to offering public outreach, a variety of classes, teacher training, science demonstrations, giant screen films and planetarium shows. We make an array of educational programming available to schools and groups. The site of Indiana's first planetarium, explore space and discover the wonders of the Universe in our new Koch Immersive Theater, a  planetarium where you can view traditional planetarium shows as well as experience amazing, full-dome cinema presentations.
