Space Grant Overview - Indiana Space Grant Consortium

NASA initiated the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, also known as Space Grant, in 1989. Space Grant is a national network of colleges and universities. These institutions are working to expand opportunities for Americans to understand and participate in NASA's aeronautics and space projects by supporting and enhancing education, research, and public outreach activities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

Indiana Space Grant Consortium (INSGC) is part of this national program and supports students and teachers monetarily with grants, fellowships and scholarships for students pursuing careers in STEM fields, as well as curriculum enhancement and faculty development. The ultimate goal of these efforts is have a larger number of Indiana students who become workers in the Indiana STEM workforce.
