| We in the Purdue School of Industrial Engineering are thankful
for our many alumni, students, faculty and staff who continue to break ground
in the way we "Rethink IE". In the past few months, we've seen some incredible
accomplishments: alumna Tamara Markey (BSIE 1994) was named as the 2019 Indiana
Teacher of the Year; alum Geoffrey Cubitt (BSIE 1992) was inducted into the
Cooperative Education Hall of Fame; three of our undergraduate students
launched two new companies, FroYo Xpress and EUME Massaging Backpacks; and seven of our staff and one undergraduate won the 2018 College of Engineering Staff Excellence Award
for an innovative new student mentoring program. We've held some exciting events - the largest-ever IE Career Fair, our 2nd Homecoming Panel, and our annual Awards Dinner where many student scholarship recipients met and thanked their donors. And this month we'll graduate over 60 undergrads and a number of PhD and master's students. As we come to the end of 2018, we in Purdue IE wish you and yours a very happy holiday season. |
