| For those of you who may not know me, let me introduce myself — I’m Steve Landry and am serving as Acting Head of the Purdue School of Industrial Engineering for the 2018-19 academic year while Dr. Abhi Deshmukh takes a well-deserved sabbatical. I’m a professor of industrial engineering, hold a courtesy appointment in the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics, am part of the Faculty Leadership Team for the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE), and have served as the Associate Head of IE for the past eight years. I am extremely excited to help continue the amazing progress of the School in IE education, research, and engagement. Our faculty, students, & alumni continue to do ground-breaking research, create new collaborative initiatives and even a start-up company. One special note: We’re thrilled with the #3 ranking awarded to the Purdue IE undergraduate program this month by U.S. News & World Report! Thanks to all of our students, faculty, staff, & alumni for your efforts that brought us to this point.
