The Purdue School of Industrial Engineering welcomes Jerry Alberts as the new Director of Development. Alberts started in IE in February 2015, after holding development positions in the Purdue College of Technology (now Purdue Polytechnic Institute), Clemson University, Penn State, and the Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI).

Jerry's main responsibilities are to increase financial resources and alumni engagement in support of IE student education. "I returned to Purdue to specifically support the School of Industrial Engineering and its students," he said. "My personal mission as director of development is to engage Purdue IE alumni and friends in ways that will assist the school to deliver the highest quality IE educational program possible for our undergraduate and graduate students." 

"This is an exciting time to be a Purdue IE grad and I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to play a role in assisting IE to build on its stellar reputation," said Jerry. "I hope our many alumni and friends will join me in this exciting adventure."
