Dr. Jonathan Caulkins to present 2012 Moshe M. Barash Memorial Lecture
Jonathan P. Caulkins, a Carnegie Mellon professor and expert in the systems analysis of problems related to drugs, crime, terror and prevention will give the 2012 Moshe M. Barash Memorial Lecture on Nov. 1 in the Purdue Memorial Union. He will speak about U.S. drug policy in his talk entitled "Providing a Scientific Basis for Policy Making." Purdue IE moves up in national rankings
Purdue's Industrial Engineering program moved up to fourth place (tied with Stanford) in the latest US News and World Report rankings for undergraduate programs released in September. This is a move up from the 2012 rankings, which had Purdue IE placed fifth in the nation. Senior IE making a difference for the Boilermakers
Robert Maci, a Purdue industrial engineering senior who is a linebacker for the Boilermakers, has been a consistent bright spot during the Purdue's season to date. After the disappointing loss to Michigan last Saturday, Maci was held up by the Lafayette Journal & Courier as something fans could still be happy about.
IE alum Kathy Kilmer installed as IIE Fellow
