Plan of Study
A Plan of Study (POS) is required by the Graduate School for all graduate students. The plan of study serves as a contract between the student, their advisory committee, and the Graduate School. It lists the courses that the student expects to take for their degree program, any concentration(s) the student is pursuing, and the faculty members who will mentor them throughout their study. A plan of study can be changed.
IE Plan of Study Deadline. We recommend you file your POS in your second semester.
Graduate School Plan of Study Deadline. Submit your plan at least a month in advance of the start of the session of expected graduation to ensure sufficient time for departmental review, otherwise you may incur a $200 late fee.
